Wuri

Yessss.  Ethiopia is back with our first ever release from our new friends at Sarco Coffee.  Saron Nigusse reached out to us and gave us a visit while down in NYC for Coffee Fest this past March.  After cupping through some super tasty lots, we kept coming back to this beautiful naturally processed coffee from Yirgacheffe that was filled with Strawberry and Tropical aromatics and sweetness for days.  Hyped to introduce our first Sarco sourced coffee, Ethiopia Wuri. 

This lot hails from Gedeb Wuri with 2,500 contributing small holder producers growing the JARC 74110 variety at a the high elevation of 1900-2100 MASL.  This region is known for its humid, highland environment with rich soils and a well defined rainy season which supports lush vegetation and consistent coffee production. 

Wuri is a nostalgia lot for us.  One of our favorite cup profiles from our manyyyy years in coffee are the brighter natural lots from Yirgacheffe.  Wuri is loaded with bright red strawberry qualities and tropical fruits a la pineapple.  Both aromatically and in the cup, these fruit notes are rooted with sweet sugar browning flavors of caramel and milk chocolate with a tea like finish.  

We recommend Wuri in flat bottom brewers, immersion styles, flash brew, a fruit forward cold brew, and as a killerrrrr espresso.  So hyped to release this lot!
